Measure
The attacker measures the distance between themselves and their opponent by making a right walking stance with their foot to the outside of their opponent’s foot. Once this distance is established the attacker should return to parallel ready stance
Starting Positions
Attacker
Right L-stance, middle section forearm guarding block. Kihap to show that they are ready to begin.
Defender
Parallel ready stance, kihap to show they are ready to defend.
Number 1
Attack
Step right leg forward into right walking stance; perform a high section obverse punch. Execute a low section front snap kick with the rear leg landing in left walking stance.
Defence and Counter Attack
Step right leg back into a left walking stance, perform an outer forearm rising block with left arm. Step back with left leg into a right walking stance; perform an X-fist pressing block with the left hand on top. Whilst in the same stance perform a twin vertical punch to the opponent’s jaw.
Number 2
Attack
Step right leg forward into a left L-stance, perform a mid-section side punch with the right fist. Execute a rear leg, mid-section turning kick with the ball of the foot, land in left walking stance.
Defence and Counter Attack
Step right leg back into right L-stance, perform an upward palm block with left palm. Step left leg back into left L-stance, perform a waist block with the right inner forearm. Slide into right L-stance facing away from your opponent; perform a right side elbow thrust.
Number 3
Attack
Execute a right leg front snap kick landing in a right walking stance, step forward into left walking stance, perform a twin vertical punch to the opponent’s jaw.
Defence and Counter Attack
Step back with right leg into left walking stance, perform an X-fist pressing block. Step left leg back into a right walking stance, perform an outer forearm wedging block. Pretend to grab opponent and execute an upward kick with the left knee to the opponent’s solar plexus while pulling both hands down.
Number 4
Attack
Step right leg forward into a right walking stance, perform a high section flat fingertip thrust. Execute a side piercing kick with the left leg, land with left leg forward
Defence and Counter Attack
Step right leg back into left walking stance, perform a rising block with the left knife-hand. Step back into left L-stance, perform an inward palm pushing block with the right hand making contact with the opponent’s foot, pushing the kick away. This will turn the opponent slightly. Execute a left leg front snap kick with the ball of the foot to the opponent’s coccyx, landing in left walking stance, perform twin upset punch to the opponent’s kidneys.
Number 5
Attack
Perform a back kick with the right foot, step forward into a left walking stance, land, perform a high section open fist strike.
Defence and Counter Attack
Step right leg back into a right L-stance, perform a palm waist block with the left hand. Step back into a left L-stance, perform an outer forearm inward block. Step right leg forward into a right walking stance, perform a reverse knifehand strike to the solar plexus
Number 6
Attack
Perform a right leg high section turning kick with ball of foot, land, step forward into left walking stance perform an arc-hand strike to the opponent’s throat.
Defence and Counter Attack
Move left leg back at a 45o angle, perform a twin straight forearm checking block. Step right leg back into right L-stance perform a hooking block with the left hand. Perform a mid-section side piercing kick with left foot sword.
Number 7
Attack
Step right leg forward into a left fixed stance, perform a high section side fist strike. Perform a mid-section reverse turning kick with the left foot.
Defence and Counter Attack
Step left leg back into a left L-stance while performing a twin forearm block. Slide backwards into a right L-stance with a forearm guarding block. Execute a high section reverse turning kick with the right heel.
Number 8
Attack
Perform a mid-section side piercing kick with the right leg, land and spin anticlockwise to perform a high section knife-hand strike with the left hand.
Defence and Counter Attack
Step the right leg back into a right L-stance with an inner forearm inward waist block with the left arm. Step the left foot to the right foot, then step the right foot back into a right L-stance while performing a knife-hand guarding block. Step the right foot forward into a left X-stance and perform a downward strike with the left back-fist.
